This wiki provides instructor support for on-line courses in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Although the focus is on on-line teaching in Math, it will likely be useful for all instructors.
There are two general categories of resources: teaching technologies and general tips for teaching on-line.
Teaching Technologies
- Akindi - A platform to administer and grade multiple choice exams
- Crowdmark - Grading platform for assignments and tests including multiple choice exams
- Handwriting to LaTeX to Mobius - A few tools that can help you convert your hand-written notes to LaTeX and then to Mobius source code
- LEARN - UWaterloo's Learning Management System (LMS)
- Markbox - Another platform to administer and grade multiple choice exams
- Microsoft Teams - Invite everyone you work with at UW to chat, meet, call, and collaborate
- Mobius - Content delivery platform and automated assessment tool
- Odyssey - Exam management system
- Outline - UWaterloo's system for storing course outlines
- Quest - UWaterloo's student information system.
- Piazza - Discussion board friendly for mathematics and CS
- More - Includes a Comparison of Tools for Synchronous Teaching
