Maple can be very useful tool. However its syntax is odd and it often takes the most obtuse interpretation possible. While the inner working of Maple are probably best understood from the pure math point of view, and classical algebra in particular, most practical ways of dealing with Maple can be learned by example. The help facility is also very good with examples often provided. Here are some sample worksheets and what they can help one learn:
