Microsoft Teams is part of the Microsoft 365 app suite, which all UWaterloo employees/students have access to. Users are likely familiar with basic MS Teams functionality, however, instructors can request a roster synced MS Team for their courses. As this is a centrally supported tool, see the EdTech hub for more information and resources.

Possible Alternatives: Tools such as Discord are not recommended due to privacy, security, student appeals, and other such considerations. Piazza can be used for discussions and polling, but it does not support file sharing like Teams.
